Sheeba Samuel is Board Certified Psychiatrist Mental Health Nurse practitioner who is passionate about helping individuals who are in need of mental health. Sheeba worked 20 years as a rehab nurse and is active in her community and church. She has appeared in many television shows and in other media in educating people on building strong healthy minds and breaking stigmas in the society. Sheeba spends quality time listening to her clients and provides appropriate therapy and medication management, if necessary. Sheeba provides a safe 1:1 video platform session and takes time to listen to all of her clients' concerns. Sheeba collaborates with each client’s decision process while facilitating client potential. Sheeba has a heart of compassion to help her client experience life to the fullest. She believes in treating the whole person including their mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Sheeba grew up in a culture where people with mental illness were treated unfairly and looked down upon. Many of Sheeba's close friends chose not to speak out about their illness due to misunderstanding of what society might think. This Cultural stigma motivated Sheeba to learn more about Mental health and pursue a career to help others who are dealing with mental illness. Sheeba loves what she does and made a promise to help others to the best of her ability.

My Background

My personal belief and why I choose this line of work

I grew up in a culture where people with mental illness were treated unfairly and looked down upon.  Many of my close friends chose not to speak out about their illness due to misunderstanding of what society might think.   I decided at that time to learn more about Mental health and treat my clients as I would like to be treated. I love what I do and made a promise to myself to care for others without judgment. My spare time, I love spending time with my husband and children.

Getting to know Sheeba Samuel

Apart from Mental health nursing, her specialties are rehab, med-surg, and perioperative services. In the community, Sheeba enjoys talking about and teaching mental health to bring awareness and to break stigma about mental health. Sheeba is highly motivated, goal oriented and patient centered, she has a strong desire to exceed expectations and deliver the effort necessary to achieve goals. Sheeba is a good team player and a great listener. Sheeba has a family of 5 with 3 children. Hobbies include reading, cooking, music, and traveling.
